Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan announces final standards to reduce pollution from power plants during an event at Howard University on Thursday, April 25, 2024, in Washington. ** FILE **Three states had asked the Supreme Court to immediately stop the federal government from imposing a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from state to state, as their appeal is pending in lower courts.
