The Department of Justice hosted its Protecting Places of Worship Forum on Wednesday at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church amid concerns of rising violence.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Larry Harris, pastor for Mt. Olive ChurchRabbi Scott Roland from the Shaarey Tikvah SynagogueDirector Azaadjeet Singh with the Ohio Sikh CouncilAll six expressed a shared worry about the violence against them.

US Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Rebecca Lutzko explained the meeting helped connect visitors to the resources available to them on behalf of groups like law enforcement, the FBI and the US Department of Justice. “There was a massacre at a gurdwara in Wisconsin,” said Singh. “We had 2 incidents in our Bedford gurdwara in the following weeks.”“We can partner with our law enforcement agencies to protect our houses of worship,” said Malik.
